Welcome to Sunrise Midwifery! Our office is located in a 1920’s style building in the historic district of downtown Mesa Arizona. It is comfortable and warm with room to relax and enjoy your prenatal visits. Office Tour Appointments are typically scheduled for one hour with plenty of time to have your questions answered. We offer Saturday appointments so that everyone in your family can attend. Each prenatal visit includes an assessment of baby’s heartbeat, position, size and overall wellbeing. We also check mother’s blood pressure, pulse, weight, nutrition and uterine growth. During your pregnancy, we offer all routine labs and testing. Sunrise Midwifery's prenatal schedule consists of monthly visits until the 28th week, every 2 weeks until the 36th week followed by weekly visits until your baby's birth. Labor and birth take place in your home. We are also Doula's and can provide constant support and encouragement throughout the birth process. We provide all the necessary equipment needed for your home birth. Postpartum care includes all newborn testing, birth certificate, home visits at 24 and 48 hours, office visits at 5 and 12 days and follow up appointments as needed for up to 4 weeks for both mother and newborn. Sunrise Midwifery offers complete , holistic and comprehensive care throughout all phases of your pregnancy, labor and birth. Home birth is a wonderful and safe alternative at a cost of approximately 1/3 less than that of a typical hospital birth.
